    This nickel copper based alloy has been precipitation hardened in addition to the Alloy K500 Rod containing some amounts of aluminium and titanium. If compared to alloy grade 400, the Monel K500 Flat Bar has higher tensile strength corrosion fatigue as well as erosion resistance. One important characteristic of the Monel K500 Square Bar is that the alloy has excellent mechanical properties across various temperature settings.

    In fact, the alloy performs admirably from sub-zero temperatures up to about a temperature of about 480C. Additionally, the corrosion resistance properties of Monel K500 Hex Bar is why they are extensively used in pure water to non-oxidising mineral acids along with salts and alkali based media. If compared to Monel 400, the Nickel K500 Hex Bar is two times more in terms of its tensile strength and is approximately three times the yield strength of the former alloy.
