Stainless steel tape is a kind of material widely used in various industrial fields, and its excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and good plasticity make it widely used in many fields. So, how is the stainless steel belt made?
The manufacturing process of stainless steel tape can be roughly divided into the following steps:
Raw material preparation
The main raw materials of stainless steel belt are iron, chromium, nickel and other elements. These materials are carefully selected and proportioned to meet the specific properties required for stainless steel strips.
Smelting
The treated raw material is fed into a converter or electric furnace for melting. In the process of melting, stainless steel liquid with different composition and properties can be obtained by adding appropriate alloying elements and adjusting furnace temperature and furnace pressure and other parameters.
Continuous casting
Molten steel is poured into the continuous casting machine, and the preliminary form of stainless steel strip is formed through continuous casting of the continuous casting machine. During continuous casting, it is necessary to maintain a stable casting speed and temperature to ensure the internal structure and surface quality of the stainless steel strip.
Roll
Stainless steel strip billets are rolled by hot or cold rolling machines to obtain the desired thickness of stainless steel strip. During the rolling process, the size and surface quality of the stainless steel strip can be controlled by adjusting the parameters such as the pressure and speed of the rolling mill.
Anneal
The rolled stainless steel strip needs to be annealed to eliminate the stress inside it and improve its structure and properties. In the annealing process, the stainless steel strip is heated to a certain temperature and held for a period of time, and then slowly cooled.
Surface treatment
The annealed stainless steel strip may require surface treatment, such as pickling, polishing, etc., to remove the surface oxide layer and improve its appearance quality.
Inspection and packaging
Finally, the quality of the stainless steel belt is inspected to ensure that it meets the relevant standards and customer requirements. The qualified stainless steel tape will be packed for transportation and storage.
In general, the manufacturing process of stainless steel tape requires the synergy of multiple links, and each link requires strict control of process parameters and product quality to ensure that the final product can meet the requirements of users.
